My Dream, My Future..

I spent three weeks to write something about my dreams and my future, and now I'd like to share it with all my friends.

The moment when others suddenly asked me about my future was the moment I realized that I should begin to think about it carefully. I tried to write down all the future plans that I have had before in order to find something worth. Looking at my list, I suddenly noticed that as the time went by, all my great future plans became dreams, but the small ones became true.

At the age of 12, I had my first great future plan and that was to become a VETERINARIAN. At my young age, I usually love curing my pets whenever they get sick or ill. And for sure, I'm a Certified Pet Lover. But when I reach the age of 15, my father asked me what course I'm planning to take up. Well, I answered veterinary medicine, constantly. Badly, my father was against with it. Instead of taking doctorate degree, specializing animals, why not then take a doctorate degree in medicine, which pertains to curing of people, he added. I came to the point of confusion because I really dreamt to become a veterinarian.

Few days later, I decided to took-up NURSING (traditional), the best preparatory course for medicine. That is according to my tita's friend. I choose nursing as my course preference because I love dealing with science, and I was greatly influenced by my titas and titos. Well, nursing is not an easy regimen but I will do my very best to make it. If God permits me to successfully graduate as a Registered Nurse, then I will plan to took-up my doctrate degree, specialty in Pediatric Medicine. Hopefully, I will reach all my dreams in life. I know this would be a great challenge on my part, there would be detours that would come along my way, but I am fully determined to pursue this path. For sure, I know that God is with me.

CHANGE: It Starts with ME ♥

Being a teenager is a strange and yet exciting part of life. We are faced with though and critical decisions each and every day-decisions that will affect our lives. Everyone goes through our youngster years, but as people get older, they seem to lose touch with their teenage experiences and feel as though they can't relate to anything that teenagers go through.
We accept the fact that we constantly change as we go on through our youthful days. Many teenagers of today's generation are losing out of their way. They are most likely to be the banner news headline on newspapers and magazines, it is a BIG DAMN! Perhaps, not all teenagers are like that. As what Jose Rizal uttered, "The Youth are the HOPE of our Country". But why is it that teenagers are being aggressive, lock of self-reliance, and discipline?! For instance, we must admit that teenagers encounter problems in various conditions that they may not cope up. But I think those are basically a part of evolution and becoming adult. That   actually means that these things are not the real problems, but it is just the way of managing them. Many teenagers usually have problems with their parents, who don't understand their needs, meaning that they always want to be free with no obstacles, like a bird. In this case, parents are a branch that the little bird hits when it flies. Second, teenagers have problems with their friends. Friendships & relationships can be hard to receive, keep, and maintain. Things like gossip, rumors, and deception can ruin people in an instant. Third, peer pressure, there are a lot of things that may distract or tempt a teenager to do wrong things. Peer pressure can easily force teens to do smoking, sex and drugs. I think some of the hardest issues teenagers face are what's "acceptable" and what's "expected". Another problem are drugs which are taken frequently from nowadays. Sexuality is the leading problem and sometimes curiosity rules over them.
Becoming a teenager is a very difficult process, because it is where a constant change affects our lives. It's hard to adapt the change quickly. But we must bear in mind that these problems are not as well good. We must be the MODEL, the LEADER, and the HOPE! We must have a CHANGE! No to bad habits..WE MUST CHANGE! Wake up youngsters of today's generation. The change starts with US! The change starts with ME.

Kannawidan Festival!

It's Kannawidan!, the Treasures of Ilocandia! Yes! The festivities dubbed the "3rd Kannawidan Festival", and Vice-Governor Savellano formed a committee to lead the preparation of programs that are expected to be attended by balikbayans, foreign and local tourists who were impressed by the holding of the 1st and 2nd Kannawidan Celebrations that was started and launched by our Vice-Gov. Savellano himself.
Many Bigueños and other people from different localities want to experienced the Libot, it is a Filipino tradition where were we marched along the streets together with our Patron Saints. It was on January 28 when it began, and also it is the opening event. But before that, a concelebrated mass was held at St.Paul Cathedral. On January 29, "Partuat ken Patanor Trade Fair" was held and a very nice concert of the True Faith Band with Rada and Lovi Poe. Delphic games was held on January 30 which you can sight the different crafts demo, visual & design artworks. It is also on that day where the remaining makers and artists of the Living Treasures of the province where recognized and honored. There is also an intermission dance number presented by the Bayanihan Dance Company. On January 31, a horse race was held. This day is where we recognized & honored Fr. Jose Burgos and also the outrageous concert of Sarah Geronimo. On the 1st month of February, the Culture & Arts competition was held. There is also the Recognition & Awarding of SIGLAT Awards. And most importantly, the Saniata ti Ilocos Sur Pageant. On the 2nd day of February, various contests of the students were held. Some of these are Quiz Bee, Spot Painting & Iloco Poem Writing. A Kannawidan games was also made possible. There was also a scenario to recall, and that is the "Sarsuela Ilocana". It was a fun time having the BINGO game. And in the last day of the festival, the Battle of Bands was successfully launched.
If  I only attend those events, maybe I could have more words to utter. But, atleast we visited it once, we have atleast the time to tour the whole coverage of the Trade Fair. I've seen many traditional cultures, ancient artworks made from woods and amazing veggies! LOL! Kannawidan Festival is really amazing! It's the perfect celebration I could ever imagine. Kannawidan is really a pleasure! The Pride of the Ilocanos-- KANNAWIDAN!

It's their Fiesta!

Every 25th day of January is such a momentous day to the Bigueños. Yes! Because it's their most-awaited fiesta. It is from January 16-31 every year.

Even though I'm not one of them, we the CAT's of ISNHS made an entrance parade in commemoration for the upcoming occasion. I really really enjoyed marching, all eyes at our unit! How impressing! How proud we are! According to our commandant, we are the best among all the rest and that was proven by the Government Officials. Badly, I was not able to watched the Longganisa Festival and also I was not able to tour the bargain stands and most importantly, the CARNIVAL! We lock of time and our schedules are very hectic. We always used to burn our midnight oils as you can see, the three of us were all in SSC classes. Oh common! That's not about being boastful, it's the sense of reality.. right?! But, anyway it is not connected to the topic so never mind. LOL! Well, how sad! but it's just okay. There's still another year to come. And surely, I hope we can go and have fun there. For instance, January 25 is not that significant for me, all I know is that I enjoyed marching. We don't even have close relatives or even close friends of our family.

The Feast of Vigan is the very special day of St. Paul, their Patron Saint. This city was not only rich in traditional cultures but also with ancient mansions and native delicacies that people would surely love. It is also known as the "Most Friendly City", because of its clean & green ambiance. Come & visit the Heritage City of Vigan! Again, Happy Fiesta! Viva Vigan!
